OMG! Gross! This is what we need to do! Stay Calm!

It was Monday night and for the first time in months we were ready for bed ahead of time. Awesome! I go to read books with my daughter in her bed, and see her scratching her neck. I tell her to put her head in my lap and I start searching, did I just see something move?? What is it? Is this a spec of dirt? I pull out this little black spot and yell for my husband. I put it on a piece of toilet paper and have him take it to my neighbor to look. He started searching the web too. I keep searching, there is a bug crawling in my daughters hair. WHAT???

Let me go back, my neighbor's daughter had head lice the last three weeks and the elementary school was full of it where my son went to school. But my daughter's preschool had no reported cases. We had kept our hair dirty. So I kept look for any signs, but what was I looking for? I had not even go on the web to see a picture.

Well, We had Head Lice. It is now 8:15pm and I am freaking out some. I have my husband run to the store to get the treatments, my son to my neighbor to get a special lice nit comb, and try to keep my daughter in the bathroom and my son in another. My poor son kept running away from his sister. They both starting crying because they wanted to go to bed, and mommy was just trying to listen to my neighbor to find out what to do next.

So at 8:45pm on a school night, I calm down, tell my kids we are not going to school tomorrow. Don't treat your kids once and then send them back, wait 24 hours or more, and check again. This is how we are going to stop lice from being everywhere. We won't stop it, but help other families out.

My husband starts combing my daughters hair with the lice comb. He wanted to find as much as possible before we treated and killed them. We flushed them down the toilet. I took my son to another bathroom and washed his head with head and shoulders. Do not wash their hair with anything that has a conditioner. Then I put in the treatment, started combing slowly and small section by section. I would wipe the lice comb on a piece of toilet paper to check for anything. I follow the directions and waiting 10 minutes and then rinsed. Nothing! Whew!

My daughter was exhausted and screaming, so my husband and I switched. He striped everything, from my son's bed including stuffed animals and pillow. We placed it in a garbage sacks in the garage. And then he vacuumed everything, and his mattress extremely well. Put on new linens and he was off to bed.

Then he moved to my daughters room and did the same. We put all blankets, pillows, stuffed animals in bags in garage.

I then washed my daughter head with Head and Shoulders. And did her treatment. Rinsed her hair, then wrapped her in a towel. And spent the next 2.5 hours growing hair line by hair line in her hair. Wiping the lice comb off in toilet paper looking. Poor thing, feel asleep on my lap and my husband held a flash light while I searched more. We put new PJ's on her and off to bed.

Next I threw away all the towels we used, our hair bushes, hair clips. Then we took bleach wipes and wiped down the bathrooms. Current stuffed animals that were in their bed went right to the wash in hot water. The bath mat was taken for laundry.

We then inspected each other's head, gave each other treatments, using the lice comb the whole time. We were clear. Changed all our bedding and put other in bags in garage. It was 1am.

The next morning the check with the lice comb began in the sunlight. Up down across with the comb. We would wipe the comb off in a paper towel to see if anything was there. If you squeeze it and it pops, you got a nit. Nothing, whew! We put my daughter's hair up in pony tails and sprayed with gel. Sprayed the rest of our hair with hair gel, and I left my longer hair up all day.

We vacuumed the whole house again. Then we loaded the mini van all the way up with any sheets, pillows, stuff animals, blankets, couch pillow, bath rugs, towels and headed to the nearest laundry mat. $50.00 and only 1.5 hours later, everything was washed in hot water and ran through the drier for 40 minutes minimum. (I really suggest this to make things faster.) Then put it all in a room away from everyone.

Checked the heads again that afternoon. Nothing!

That afternoon I went and got Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Shampoo & Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray. I also got the Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye treatment. That night we did not wash hair, we sprayed in the Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray and lice combed it again. Nothing!

Everyone slept with one pillow, one stuff animal and a blanket, no duvets and comforters.

The next morning, we began washing all sheets and blankets again, and did the Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye treatment on Kaylynn in the kitchen sink with the sunlight. We went line by line of hair again, nothing. So off to school. With pigtails and Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave In Conditioning Spray 8 fl oz (236 ml) and Hair Gel.

Our son did the Fairy Tales LICE GOODBYE Nit Removal System w/ Comb 1 kit treatment at bath that night and nothing. We washed hair with the Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Shampoo 32oz and then sprayed with Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray. Nothing!

To do the Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye treatment follow the directions. Protect eyes. I would get the hair wet with warm water, the put in the mouse, comb each section looking for nits and wiping the comb off in toilet paper each time, the added more mouse and waited 5 more minutes. I put him in the shower, had him hold a towel over his eyes, and rinsed. The spray with Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray and comb again.

Off to bed with with one pillow, one stuff animal and a blanket, no duvets and comforters.

The next morning everyone got more Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray in their hair again, including me and my husband. I vacuumed the whole house again and washed linens.

We continued checking in sun light and using the Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray everyday.

7 days would be the big mark, and NOTHING! Whew! We are still using the spray and checking here and there. But I the hours of searching worked.

We continue to use the Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Shampoo & Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Leave-In Conditioning Spray. We did not do a treatment again since we had not found anything for 7 or more days. We will use Fairy Tales Lice Products for years. No more Lice in this house!
